VNR Golf Outing and Fundraiser a Success in Lake Success
VNR Home Care's 2008 golf outing and fundraiser was a success and a great time for all who participated. VNR Board member Tom Lawlor chaired the event, which honored VNR's former President and CEO, Maxine Hochhauser. The golf outing and dinner was held to raise money for the Visiting Nurse Association of Brooklyn Foundation. The Foundation fund supports VNR's mission of caring for all in our community regardless of their ability to pay and supports other non-profit activities in our community.

VNR HOME CARE SERVICES CFO MARY JANE GIGATTI TO SERVE AS INTERIM CEO
(Brooklyn - March 13, 2008) The Board of Directors of VNR Home Care Services (VNR) has named Mary Jane Gigatti, M.P.A., to serve as interim President and Chief Executive Officer in the wake of Maxine Hochhauser's resignation from that position. Ms. Hochhauser is leaving VNR to take a similar position at a multi-state, for profit home health care organization based in Boynton Beach, Florida after serving two years with VNR.

Assemblyman Richard Gottfried (D-Manhattan) on a home visit to patient Christine Purvis
Assemblyman Richard Gottfried (D-Manhattan), chair of the New York State Assembly Health Committee, recently accompanied VNR President and CEO Maxine Hochhauser and VNR Long Term Nurse Coordinator Margaret O'Brien on a home visit to patient Christine Purvis. Ms. Purvis has been receiving care from VNR for two years for chronic asthma. Since becoming a VNR patient, she has avoided the repeated hospitalizations she used to endure because of flare ups of her asthma, especially in the winter.
